The post was about 1) Tesla incentives, 2) Palantir & Berkshire, 3) S&P 500 and POTUS approval rating, 4) Bonus: Imposter Syndrome ... not about the outperformers ... but each with his own angle of understanding and wishes.
P.S. if you read my research so far, you would know it is nothing even close to FOMO/YOLO or any of that kind of sort
Got it, great points on incentives & subsequent results, glad you did contribute now.
(P.S. I still do not believe I was justifying outperformers, actually with Palantir I was rising doubts how can it be so fast to get to 500bn market cap, half of a Berkshire ... but yeah, in written without tone and all, a lot can be perceived which was not even remotely intended ... in any case, to be sure no FOMO/YOLO here with anything, be it they are or not my own personal investments)
Even stating the same thing will always trigger different viewpoints from different people, just like the weather. Different individuals have different perceptions on temperature. Some may feel cold, while others may feel hot, even though the physical temperature is exactly the same.
SHOW ME THE INCENTIVES, I WILL SHOW YOU THE RESULTS!
great reminder Colin!
amazing job of retrospectively justifying outperformers.
get those fomo clicks!

i was not generalizing to all your posts, specifically to tesla and palantir as examples.
incentives and subsequent results come in all flavors :
- constructed (effectively) by the beneficiaries themselves, usually as too easy until 'maturity'
- can fail, no matter how well intentioned, due to incompetence or macro forces
- at a greater cost to minority owners than beneficiaries, even if company economics do well
- etc....

Great analogy Colin, so true :).
Very insightful & helpful, thanks!
Very glad to hear, welcome Adrian!
Have a great week!
Elon has much higher goals than those. He wants 10 to 50 million of the 3rd Gen Optimus. Or maybe he said 4th, but it was not far away, haha.
Indeed, more than what I highlighted! I just cherry picked some. High ambitions with 3rd Gen Optimus. We will see, will be nice to see :). Cheers!
